Vintage Perkins Single Toggle or Push Button Switch Plates

These brass switch plates give you an option of a push button or toggle switch. Originally with holes for push buttons, they have been cut and reworked to allow for a toggle switch. The metal work is so good that I had to look closely to see that it was not the original casting. I just love these with the fat toggle switches I have for sale here (Item ED1010) – so much so that I’ve included a photo with them together for you to see!

These switch plates are very heavy cast brass made by The Perkins Electric Switch Mfg. Co., Bridgeport, CT and patented Nov. 7, 1903 as noted on the backs. One plate has been lightly polished leaving the beveled portions dark. The other has been left “as found”. Both have very minor scratching. Only the polished plate is available, the other has been sold.
