This vintage doorknob set was made by Lockwood around 1914 in their dainty Essex pattern.  The large exterior plate greats your guests as they enter and the matching knob and keyhole escutcheon bids them farewell!

All portions of this set are made of wrought bronze with a medium caramel patina.  The doorknobs are the same color as the plates but show as lighter due to the camera flash.  The raised details have been polished slightly to bring them out.  The entry plate has some very minor pitting at the keyholes that is barely noticeable.

Entry sets such as this were made to go with mortise locks that have a dual locking function.  To use that function a split spindle is required.  Some of my customers prefer to use just a simple latch (with the keyholes being decorative only) and install a separate deadbolt for security.  Since I do not know how you would be installing this set I have not included a spindle and reduced the price accordingly.  You may order the spindle of your choice by going to Door Hardware>Small Parts.
