Most of the rim locks of the 19th century had white porcelain knobs but these are quite unusual. Made around 1875 they have a raised concentric design that gives them a very unique look and feel. These were made to go with rim locks and have a flared shaft on the one that would go against the lock.
These doorknobs are in excellent condition with a few scattered age spots, flea bites and discoloration. This is typical for the white porcelain knobs (especially those 135 years old!) and in no way distracts from their authentic appeal. I’ve faced the most visible ones towards the camera. The shafts were cleaned and oiled for a dark iron patina.
The price above is for two doorknobs and a steel spindle with set screws. If the number In Stock is two that means I have 2 pair available.
Diameter 2-1/4
