Although white porcelain doorknobs were rather common in the late 1800’s, these are anything but! They have a raised band that gives them a very unique look and feel.  They are usually quite hard to find but I was fortunate to obtain several from a Victorian home in Rhode Island. They were found on rim locks by Branford Lock Works so we presume they are by the same maker.

These doorknobs are in excellent condition. They can be used on a rim lock as they were originally found or go well with other hardware as well. There are several available and the photo is representative. Some of the knobs are starting to develop the desirable crackling and, of course, there are some with the standard age spots. These knobs were obviously well taken care of since there are no chips or scratches. None are loose on the shaft. All the shafts have been cleaned of old paint and rust.

Price above is for one doorknob. Buy two and receive a free steel spindle with set screws!

Diameter 2-1/4
