Solid Cast Brass Antique Icebox Latch and Hinges

It’s hard to find a complete set of matching antique icebox hardware! This set bears a patent date of June 29, 1887 (97?) on the back of the latch and is in excellent operating and asthetic condition. All parts have a nice medium patina with some verdigris. Leave it “as is”, oil the brass to turn the verdigris dark or polish to a brilliant shine. The choice is yours!

This set is for a left hand door and would be mounted as shown in the main photo. There is some rust on the back plate (which doesn’t hurt anything) but the screw is easily removed to allow access to the interior parts. I do not have a key but have checked the interior and the locking function has all parts present and working.  Hinges rotate freely.

Latch back plate:  3-3/4” high x 2-5/8” wide
Catch back plate:  2-5/8” high x 9/16” wide
Hinges: 2-3/8” wide against the door and 1-3/8” wide on the jamb
Hinge offset: 3/8”
Hinge barrel: 1-3/4” high
