Single Hopkins & Dickenson Vernacular Door Knob

Hopkins & Dickinson was a premier manufacturer of artistic hardware in the late 19th century and this beautiful design is featured in their 1879 and 1890 catalogs. It is quite understandable that this knob would have been popular for over a decade! Note that the foliate designs carry over onto the back. Aside from the fine workmanship it has the best natural occurring patina I’ve come across in a long time.

Made of very heavy cast bronze it is in excellent condition. I don’t note a single dent or scratch.
