This ornate set was made by Russell & Erwin around 1910 and they named the pattern “Century”. The black glazed mineral clay knobs are stunning with an iridescent quality when the light hits them. The Eastlake style detail on the steel plates is quite lovely. The bronze plating has worn almost completely off with only a bit left on one plate for a nice distressed look.
Plates are made of pressed steel and are nice and straight with no bends, breaks or rust. The knobs have light scratching that is typical for this kind of old knob. Original mounting screws for the door plates are included but not pictured.
