Rare Figural Neo-Greek Curtain Tassel Holder

You’ll want to be sure and mount this tassel holder where it can be viewed frequently by you and your guests!  Although the exact age is unknown this design motif (you’ll have to decide whether man or woman) was used frequently in the mid to late 1800s.  Frequently it’s the little things that make your home stand out from the rest and this is one of them!

Made of wrought iron it also has another interesting feature.  The hook portion swivels to sit cocked out from the plate or can be removed entirely.
 
During the Victorian era all hardware was meant to be seen and admired.  Rather than having the curtain fabric hide the metal art work a tasseled cord was used to sweep the curtains open.  The cord was looped over the fancy holder with the tasseled ends draping down.
