Primitive Farm House Cast Iron Window Sash Lock

Simple in form and function, I can easily see this sash lock in an old farm house.  It has a spring mechanism that keeps the lock in place – either open or closed.  A little nudge and the bar pops back against the plate.  Original black paint on the latch portion and remnants of the casting tab on the catch make this a very charming piece of early 1800s history.

Latch base is 2-3/8” x 11/16 with screw holes 1-3/8” on center
Catch is 2” wide with screw holes 3/4" on center
