P F Corbin Ceylon Bronze Drum Style Doorknob

This beautiful wrought bronze antique doorknob was made by P & F Corbin and featured in their 1895 hardware catalog.  The named design, Ceylon, has a fantastic mix of geometrics and flowers.  This drum style was used for both interior and exterior doors.

The dark caramel patina is original and I’ve polished the high points slightly to promote the beautiful details.
