This is a gorgeous set that features lots of curlicues on the rosettes and ornate lock and shiny black glazed clay knobs. The pieces offer a unique opportunity for you to choose either a gold or silver look. As they are now the background of the cast iron is a silver color so with the addition of silver colored screws the set goes with a silver theme. If you dont want any gold color just sand the high areas with very fine sand paper to remove it although I personally like the mixed metal look. The raised portions are bronze plated for a gold color. To make the gold stand out paint the background black and add brass screws. These pieces are set up for French or double doors with one set of knobs and rosettes inoperative for the stationary door. If you wish use the deadbolt function and install keyhole covers go to
Key Escutcheons. You can add a set to your order in a color that will go with your final finish. If none of those appeal to you let me know and I can try to find some others in my stock.
Black knobs are in excellent condition with only very light scratching. Bronze plating has some minor wear. The lock interior has been cleaned/oiled and is in excellent working condition. There is no oil on the lock face or rosettes in case you choose to add black paint. A plain strike plate is included that has a mix of both colors. Lock is reversible for right or left hand doors. Open the lock and flip the strike over and its done. I do not have a key for this lock. If you plan on using the deadbolt function you will have to see your local locksmith to have one made. I guarantee the deadbolt function works with the proper key.
If you are planning on using this set for French doors be sure that your wood stiles are wide enough to accommodate the lock. I have annotated a photo showing where the rosette would end up for your convenience.
