Ornate Cast Iron Strike Plate – Branford “Oriental” – Bargain!

Made in the late 1800’s by Branford Lock Works in their Oriental design. This strike plate has suffered over the years with pitting from rust on the top, bottom and narrow side. Fortunately the full length tongue, which shows the most, did not. Still very usable and you could sand the pitted areas for a more sleek look. This will take a lot of sanding since it is thick cast iron.

Design is on one side only and is reversed for right or left hand doors by just flipping it.

Opening for strike and deadbolt is 9/16” x 1-15/16”
