This is a stunning mortise lock from around the turn of the century (1800-1900). It features stylized flowers and geometrics worked in solid thick bronze. It has been taken apart, cleaned and polished and works flawlessly. Note that the deadbolt and strike are also bronze!
The only issues I note are some minor scratches on the face plate that can be seen in the photo and are standard for antiques this old. There is a slight bend at the bottom of the face plate that is best straightened when it is installed. Just place a piece of wood over it and tap with a hammer. Reversible for right or left hand doors. Just open the casing and flip the strike over.
