The Windsor pattern by Reading Hardware was an instant hit in 1895 and continues its popularity today. The ornate face plates retain much of the bronze plating with a dark background and a lacquer clear coat makes the detail really POP out! The wear to the bronze gives them a nice distressed charm.
These locks have been taken apart, cleaned and a lacquer clear coat was applied to the lock faces. The locks function perfectly. Lock casing is cast iron. Reversible for right or left hand doors. Remove one screw, flip the strike over and close the lock again. If you wish to use the deadbolt function you may order a skeleton key by going to DSP1007
Although there are two locks shown in one of the photos the price above is for one lock.
This design mortise lock was also shown by Reading with their MONTELLO design. For other hardware enter the keywords MONTELLO or WINDSOR in the Search box to the left.
