Norwalk Victorian Antique Artistic Hardware Door Set

Artistic is definitely the word to use to describe this set! The cast bronze metalwork is absolutely stunning! While the flowers, flowing leaves and flourishes are beautifully done I find the tiny twine rope detail absolutely fascinating! Norwalk Lock Co. thought the design was so special they patented it on Sept. 7, 1886 as noted on the back of the door plates. The design thoroughly covers all parts of this matching set.

All parts are in excellent condition. Other than some expected minor wear the only thing I note is that the strike plate has been cut where the strike would enter it. Makes for an easier installation :o) A steel spindle with new brass set screws is included but not pictured. Lock is reversible for right or left hand doors and strike plate has design on both sides. The key is not original to the lock but works perfectly. A copy of the original US Patent will accompany the purchase of this set.
