Medium Length Brass Mortised Door Bolts

These bolts were used to secure the stationary half of a double door at the top or bottom.  Although one of the photos shows both bolts, they are sold individually.  This allows you the option of purchasing a matching pair or only one. 

Age is unknown but based upon the wear and patina I would guess about 1930+/-.  There is no catch provided.  Either obtain one at your local hardware store or simply drill a hole in the door jamb or floor.
