Late 1800’s Chandelier / Plant Hook – Reading “Windsor” Design

This ornate hook was made by Reading Hardware in the late 1800’s for their Windsor design hardware line.  The design includes picketing, arrows & geometrics and there is always a stylized bull’s-eye flower in evidence – in this case at the tip of the hook!

This hook is in exceptionally good condition and the details remain crisp and clear. There are no chips, cracks, bends, rust or repairs. The hook is much darker (almost black) than it appears in the photo. Some of the original varnish can be seen in the close up photo but is largely invisible to the human eye.

For size reference the hook is 3” long and the screw is 3-3/4”.
