I only have locks without catches remaining. They could perhaps be used on an upstairs window or one that was painted shut where you need the look of a lock but dont need the actual function. The above price is for one latch without the catch. Photos showing catch are for reference only.
These antique sash locks from the late 1800s are far and away the best Ive ever found. Please enlarge the photos to see all the fantastic metal art work! To lock or unlock, the triangular grip is raised to swivel to the appropriate notch in the base. A wonderful marriage of beauty and security!
All are in exceptional condition with an original patina to die for. Since bronze is a relatively soft metal antique hardware such as these are many times bent. Amazingly not a single latch or catch has suffered any damage whatsoever. Each lock bears patent dates of July 2, 1878 and Feb. 18, 1879 on the bottom. Unfortunately the patent does not give the name of the manufacturer.
Latch: 2-1/4 wide x 1-1/4 deep
Catch: 2-1/4 x 11/16
