Fleur de Lis Antique Doorknob Set – Russell & Erwin “LeRoy”

This set is so charming with its fleur de lis detail on the doorknobs and matching escutcheon door plates.  The plates still have the original copper toned wash that was applied at the top, bottom and middle when manufactured.  As expected they do show wear and the knobs have lost all the copper over the years.  This set was made by Russell & Erwin around 1909 and would make a charming, and rustic, addition to your home.

All pieces are made of wrought steel and are in very good antique condition.  They had some surface rust when we received them but oiling has given them a warm brownish patina.  The iron spindle with original set screws is included.  If you do not have a lock for this set I have several mortise locks that fit.  Or you may want to use a simple tube latch and have the keyholes as a decorative element.  You can find both by looking at Door Hardware>Mortise Locks.
