This handsome cast iron set was made by Sargent & Co. around the turn of the century and features loads of geometrics paired with Ebony (black glazed clay) doorknobs. Much of the original bronze wash is still intact on the lock face but there are only traces here and there on the door plates. Note the fancy ribbed doorknob collars!
This set is in excellent condition. The doorknobs have no chips or cracks with only light surface scratching consistent with this type of antique knob. The ornate lock with heavy cast iron casing has been cleaned and operates perfectly. The lock face and door plates were given a lacquer clear coat for protection and a bit of shine. Lock is reversible for right or left hand doors. Remove the lock cover, flip the strike over and close the lock again simple! The steel strike plate has been cut and has a bit of pitting from rust on one side but will work well with the lock. If you need a skeleton key you can order one by going to
