Despard Interchangeable

Despard interchangeable electrical connections (most by Pass & Seymour) were used in the mid 1900’s – primarily 1930 – 1970. You can still purchase them today but it is hard to find the vintage colors and designs. Since the pieces all go together you will see both plates and devices mixed together for ease of viewing.

Unless otherwise noted all Despard connections and switch plates listed are new/old stock. That means they have never been used but are from long ago. These are from 1940-1950’s but are in “new” condition with some in their original wrappers.

EDD1045		Brushed Stainless Steel Switch Plate with 1 Space These heavy gauge plates have never been used but could benefit from a bit of cleanup from being in storage. Note that the component sits vertical rather than horizontal. You would need a strap hanger (bracket) like EDD1043

EDD1043		4 Mounting Brackets for Interchangeable Despard Electric Devices Mounting bracket for a single Despard element. Great for use with a junction box that has minimal room for a standard switch or outlet. Two different styles that serve the same purpose. Price above is for one set of 4 brackets. The number shown In Stock is the amount of sets I have.
EDD1042		Ivory Art Deco Bakelite Single Gang with 2 Spaces Creamy white electrical wall plate by Bryant for Despard interchangeable electrical components. Nicely grooved background with an Art Deco border. Be sure and enlarge the photo to see all the detail! This plate with the two holes in ivory is very hard to find. EDD1040		Vintage Brown Bakelite Complete Dual Outlet Unit This is a complete unit that goes well with your existing Despard electrical system. The wall plate is by Bryant and features the Uniline detailing. The receptacle does not feature the interchangeable modules and is by Leviton. Although made a long time ago, it has never been used. EDD1039		Brown Art Deco Bakelite Single Gang with 1 Vertical Space Uniline style switch plate by Pass & Seymour for Despard interchangeable electrical components.
