Dolphins, Swags and Bluebells Victorian Oval Doorknob

This fanciful cast bronze doorknob was made by Sargent & Co. around 1894 and the design was named Savona. It features two dolphin encircling a central motif that almost resembles a daylily. A leafy swag tied with ribbons keeps them from swimming away! This doorknob has exceptional metal art work. Just look at the scales on the fish with waves along their bellies!
