This cast iron and steel mortise lock features the copper “tiger stripe” that was popular around the turn of the century (1800/1900) when it was manufactured. Happily, there is almost no wear to the japanned black and copper finish! The lock has been taken apart, cleaned and operates perfectly. Reversible for right or left hand doors – remove one screw, flip the strike over and close the lock again. Ready for another 100 years of use!
