Craftsman Cast Bronze Oval Doorknob Set with Lock

Beautiful simplicity is the claim to fame for these heavy solid bronze doorknobs! They have a unique (and easy!) method of installation where the knobs are not attached to the spindle. Instead, they are permanently attached to the rosettes, which are simply screwed to your door, and the spindle floats inside. This allows for a very precise fit for almost any door thickness up to a whopping 2-1/4” thick. With the wide lock faceplate this set is suitable for either an entry or interior door.

The knobs and keyhole covers are solid heavy cast bronze as is the lock faceplate. The bronze has been polished and has normal minor scratching. After taking the side photo I noticed that the knobs/rosettes are slightly different. It is so slight that I was not aware of it even with cleaning and polishing several times. The mortise lock has been opened, cleaned and operates perfectly. The lock casing is heavy cast iron. The lock is reversible for a right or left hand door. Just open the lock, flip the strike over, and close it again. I do not have a skeleton key for this lock although I guarantee the deadbolt works. You will have to see your local locksmith if you need one.
