Corbin Entry Door Hinges - Egyptian Motif 5”x 5”

Steeple tipped hinges with Egyptian motif incising by P & F Corbin 1895. Much of the ornamental hardware in the Victorian Era was festooned with designs of Oriental and Egyptian themes. There is no incising on the hinge barrel to detract the eye from the stunning design. The hinges were designed to protrude and the design carries over to the hinge backs for beauty at every angle. Both pins and threaded finales remove easily. All of the original bronze wash is gone and the hinges are a warm dark iron patina. Original black background paint remains on one hinge.
