This beautiful Eastlake hardware was made by Branford Lock Works around 1880 and they named the pattern “Oriental”. The deep incised designs includes an ornate fan, a rising sun, geometrics, bamboo stalks and leaves – which earns it the nickname “Bamboo”. This set is perfect for those who prefer their hardware with a silver color.

All of the metal in this set is strong cast iron that has been wire brushed and lacquered for a medium silver color. There is some minor pitting on the lock face from previous rust that you can see in the photo. The lock was taken apart and cleaned (no interior rust) and operates flawlessly. The lock is reversible for a right or left hand door by simply opening the casing and flipping the strike over. The strike plate has the design on only one side and reverses by rotating it 180 degrees. The antique key is not original to this set but throws the deadbolt easily. The black glazed clay knobs had some chips and scratches that I filled in with paint and then re-glazed the knobs. Hardly noticeable now. This set is complete and ready to install with original slotted mounting screws.
