Complete 1914 Doorknob Set with Keyed Lock

This set was made by Lockwood in 1914 and the pattern is called “Nantes” from their Renaissance School.  The pretty foliate design is enhanced by the use of their Antique Copper plating with the popular look of tiger striping.   

Knobs, plates and lock face are wrought bronze with copper plating.  It appears that at some point between 1914 and now the plates and knobs were given a clear coat.   There are some scratches to that finish on the door plates. The lock, with heavy cast iron casing, operates perfectly.  I was unable to remove the screw which would allow reversing the lock hand.  This lock must be installed on a right hand door (as shown in the photo).  A new skeleton key is included for the deadbolt function.  A steel strike plate (found with the set) is also included.
