Add a touch of class with these high quality rim locks made by Mallory Wheeler in the late 1800s. The fancy line work around the edges gives them a very elegant look. They have been stripped and oiled for a warm glow.
Each set includes the lock, keeper, rosette and keyhole cover. This door hardware was most frequently installed with porcelain or mineral clay (black, brown & swirled) doorknobs. To purchase those doorknobs enter "rim lock" (with quotes) in the Search box and you will see all items relating to rim locks.
These locks have been taken apart, cleaned and every part individually oiled before they were reassembled. All locks operate perfectly. Made of strong cast iron with a dark patina that looks even darker than the photos. There is a little latch on the top that locks the doorknobs from inside the room. A skeleton key (not included) throws the deadbolt from either side of the door. The strike and deadbolt are bronze. The locks are reversible for right or left hand doors depending on which side is mounted to the door face. Both applications are shown in the photo. To reverse the strike simply open the casing and turn it over. I do not have a skeleton key that works with these locks, although I guarantee the deadbolt functionality. If you want to use the deadbolt function see your local locksmith to have one made. It appears that the same key would operate all these locks.
There are 3 sets available and they are sold individually. There are no chips, breaks or repairs except for a chip on the edge of the keeper on one set. Actually it almost looks like it was made that way its so clean and centered. However it is still a flaw so if you want that set let me know in the Comments section at checkout and just deduct $10 from your email confirmation payment.
