A simple elegant design from an earlier time, the only ornamentation is a cross design that can be seen through the glass.  These sets were carefully salvaged from a 1860’s Greek Revival home in southern Missouri scheduled for demolition.  It is rare to find these knobs with their original rosettes and screws and they can now be yours!  These doorknobs are an excellent accompaniment to an early 1800s doorbell with a glass pull in this design.  See DB1018

These glass knobs are very heavy with a few scuffs and flea bites as would be expected for an item over 150 years old.  There is no discoloration to the interior silver cross design and it remains quite bright.  The brass has aged to a nice warm patina.

One doorknob is permanently fixed to the spindle.  The other doorknob is attached by way of a long screw into the spindle.  As shown in the photo the spindle can be adjusted by way of the spindle parts screwing together. These sets will accommodate a door 1-3/8” to 1-5/8” thick.

Price includes 2 doorknobs, 2 rosettes, spindle and original brass screw

Rosettes:  1-7/8” diameter
Doorknobs:  2-1/2” diameter
