Antique Thick Bronze Face Mortise Lock Corbin Ceylon Design

This ornate mortise lock has a thicker than usual faceplate of solid bronze.  Made by P & F Corbin it is shown in their 1895 – 1905 catalog with both the Ceylon and Canton design door hardware.  But don’t limit yourself to just those designs!  With so much detail it goes well with many other doorknobs and plates!

This lock has been taken apart, cleaned and operates perfectly.  Lock face, strike and deadbolt are solid bronze. Lock casing is cast iron. Lock is reversible for right or left hand doors.  Remove one screw, flip the strike over and close the lock again.  Ready for another 100 years of use!
