This is a spectacular set sure to draw attention! The heavily detailed (front and back) doorknobs are by Branford Lock Works and the design was named Oriental in 1880. Strong geometrics with a stalk of leafy bamboo through the center just POPS out with the restored black background! In the Branford hardware catalog they show the bamboo stalk vertical rather than horizontal but you can mount either way. The matching rosettes repeat the design elements.
This cast bronze set had much of the original black background paint when it was salvaged. Since then the black has been touched up where missing and the high points have been polished lightly. A steel spindle with new brass set screws is included.
