Antique Passage Door Plate – Russell & Erwin “Racine”

This is a very high quality door plate made by Russell & Erwin around 1905. They named the pattern “Racine”. As with all R & E artistic hardware the detail is gorgeous. Made of very thick cast brass with copper plating. Attractive naturally occurring verdigris that I’ve opted to leave intact. Clean if you wish but I personally love the old greenish look! A bit of oil will turn it dark.

This plate is in excellent condition with no issues to report.
