Antique Doorknobs & Escutcheons – Y & T “Florian”

This is really a sweetheart of a set – pun intended :o) A six-fold heart design on the doorknobs make them sweet indeed! Made in 1900 by Yale & Towne the design was named “Florian”.

The set is made of pressed steel with a bronze wash. The doorknobs have a dark caramel patina and the plates retain lots of the original shiny bronze on their high points. One plate has lost a bunch of the wash on the bottom portion to rust (since removed). One plate has a slight bend although it still lays flat. A square steel spindle with set screws is also included.
