Antique Cupboard Latch by Sargent & Company

This T-handle cabinet latch was made by Sargent & Company in the late 1800’s. It features lots of Eastlake detail on the cast iron latch and catch while the ornate T-handle is bronze. Traces of the original bronze plating remain on the sides of the latch and it appears that the matching catch has never been used. It still retains the original varnish like finish. Operates perfectly and the spring is still strong.
