Loads of Eastlake style incising adorns both the cast iron base and the brass handle on top of this fancy sash lock!  Made by Ives the clever dual action lock function was patented Dec. 1884.  The catch is first aligned and then another turn cinches it in place. A perfect marriage of beauty and function!

In excellent aesthetic and mechanical condition. Cast iron and brass have a nice patina and the brass could be shined if you wish to do so. The maker and patent date is cast onto the bottom of each lock.  The catches were lost over the years and I have provided new matching replacements. If they weren’t so perfect it would be impossible to tell from the original. Being new they have a bit more shine but will mellow soon with use.

I have shown two sets in the photo so you can see different angles. The above price is for one set of lock and catch.

Lock measures 2” wide x 1-1/4” deep (maximum dimension)
Catch measures 2” wide x 5/8” deep (maximum dimension)
