1940’s Art Deco Tortoiseshell Ink Well – Fount-O-Ink

When there is a salvage operation in an old building some interesting items can be found in addition to hardware! This is an old dark brown tortoiseshell Bakelite ink well just waiting for another life. Keep your pen handy in style with some little treasures hidden inside!

This little gem is in great shape and the maker labels are still intact. The only thing I note is a small (almost invisible) crack in the cover. I’ve shown it in the last photo on the right. It probably had little cushion pieces on the bottom that are long gone but easily replaced if you wish to do so.

Note that “in person” it is darker than the photos (at least on my monitor). It is sort of a chocolate brown with a hint of red.
