1881 P. F. Corbin Mortised Door Bolt

This door bolt features Corbin’s named pattern “Diagonal” and is shown in their 1881 hardware catalog. The original bronze wash shows some wear but is still highly visible. A squirt with some clear spray lacquer would brighten it up.

These bolts were used to secure the stationary half of a double door at the top or bottom.  The catch plate, although it doesn’t precisely match the bolt size, is included in case you want more than the typical hole drilled in the floor or jamb.
